Health & Fitness

Health, Wellness and Fitness has become a huge part of my life. It drives me to be a better woman, artist and many other things. Once I started really narrowing on my health, my work improved (work life and art work). It’s an empowering journey. Because of this, I wanted to include this subject in my blog. Taking you on this journey of strength with me feels extremely important.

I want to share what I’m doing to improve my life, my mind and my heart. I’ll share meals, fitness regimens, struggle…. among other things.

It’s obvious, I’m not fitness expert or nutritionist. But it doesn’t mean what I am doing or what is happening isn’t relevant. I do my research all of the time. Like art, researching before you start on something is important for me. I don’t play around with ify things, the cleanest way to go, to me is the best.

Being healthy doesn’t have to be a burden unless you make it that way. Weight loss, really health in general is a very personal experience. You have to have your own personal reasons as to Why you want to be healthy in the first place. What does that mean to you? Why change your life? To look within can be scary but life changing in such a powerful way.

I have come to adore and love health. It drives me to be more than I am. It’s not an easy journey, I struggle….a lot. There are days when I just want to eat whatever I want, occasionally at one meal I do. After the meal, guilt follows but during the meal I also try to remind myself and ask myself what I’m doing. How will I feel later? Physically and mentally. I also remind myself before going into those situations that it’s okay to have a not so awesome meal everyone once in a while, for me about once a month.

I workout out 6 times a week for about 30 mins – 1 hr (usually 30 in the morning and 30 in the evening). It’s a stress reliever, mind opener, natural energy booster, and I love feeling strong. Weights, body weight, cardio….all high interval intensity training (aka HITT). It’s not easy but extremely rewarding.

For now, I will leave you here. Don’t worry you will still get more art posts than anything else. But, I’m also more than just ‘that girl who draws’. As are you. Our stories are what make us do what we do. I’m ready to share and I hope you are too!
